With all this craziness going on my tummy was feeling alittle funky (what else is new, right?). So I decided to try something new. I added pure blue-green algae (spirulina) powder into my daily lemon water to help with my digestion.
If you’re wondering why, there are many benefits of spirulina which include:
- It being classified as the “most nutrient dense food on the planet”
- 63% Protein
- High in Vitamin A, B’s, B12 and Iron
- It’s filled with powerful antioxidants called phycocyanin, which is a potent anti-inflammatory
Blue-Green Algae Lemonade
1 tbsp Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
1 tsp EarthProof Blue-Green Algae (or .5 tsp chlorella and .5tsp spirulina)
Stevia to taste
* You could try adding in some berries for a fruity flare!
** I also added apple cider vinegar, turmeric and himalayan salt.
