Balance to Bliss

Happy New Year friends and family.

I have taken the time over the last couple weeks to revamp my old blog about being a student, “trying to find my path” and scrambling to find answers when people asked “So, what are you doing after graduation?”  Thankfully, that course in my life is over and I now only have to answer the awkward question “when are you going to start having babies?”

The sequence never ends. Not only is everyone rushing you to take the next step in life but you’re never fully  satisfied in the phase you’re at. I’m now in the newly graduated, newly married, home owner phase. The phase that on the outside looks like paradise (and I won’t lie, I absolutely LOVE this time in my life) but on the inside can be a disorganized mess. I have created this new blog as an opportunity to share with you how to find balance in the busy lives we have – balance to bliss.

Most of us are juggling a full-time job, relationships, kids, appointments, work-out routines, personal lives, and so much more. As hard as it is, the most important thing you can do is take time for yourself. Even if it’s five minutes to shave your legs.

2015 was a busy and rewarding year. After a year like that, 2016 was supposed to be boring. But to our surprise, it is shaping up to be another incredible year. This week we are leaving on our honeymoon and along with that, I made the drunken decision with a co-worker to run the Bluenose half marathon (you can’t turn down a drunk dare!).

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be putting my focus on training for the upcoming race, sharing information and tips with you and working hard to balance my awesome marriage with it all.

I’ll be doing my best to post on here every week, typically on Mondays. Stay tuned next week (or the week after that, depending on internet in the middle of the ocean).

Have a great week,
